Banana Bread

Brace yourself for some breathtaking banana bread!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter (room temperature)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups unbleached flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup mashed bananas (very ripe)

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

HOW TO MAKE:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Grease 9 by 5 by 3 inch loaf pan

  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy

  4. Add eggs

  5. Beat

  6. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt

  7. Stir

  8. Add to butter mixture

  9. Add bananas, sour cream, and vanilla

  10. Mix

  11. Pour into prepared pan

  12. Bake until toothpick comes out of bread CLEAN (about 1 hour 10 minutes)

  13. Allow to cool on cooling rack

**Be careful with the ingredients used. Always double check the ingredient labels of your products, as you will find that some brands do not make these ingredients free of nut exposure.
