Allergic reactions range from mild to severe, so it is vital to recognize the ariety of symptoms. Likewise, allergic reactions are also triggered in various ways. For example, some individuals react from touching the allergen, while others may have to inhale or digest the allergen for a reaction to occur.

Reaction: Anaphylactic shock

Symptoms: When a person experiences anaphylactic shock, they may experience the following: swelling in the ears, cheeks, throat, nose, eyes, lips, or tongue; an extreme change in blood pressure; troubles breathing; or loss of cautiousness.

Treatment: It is essential to seek medical attention from a professional, but while waiting, calmly try to locate the individual's designated medication for his or her reaction.

 

Reaction: Rash

Symptoms: Red blotches of skin that spread and progressively get worse,' they may itch, burn, and/or raise

Treatment: Gently and thoroughly wash the irritated areas with warm, soapy water, and contact a medical provider for further evaluation.

 

Reaction: Sickness

Symptoms: The person may feel nauseous or experience cramping, headaches, stomach aches, diarrhea, or fever.

Treatment: Rest and contact a medical provider for further evaluation.
