Mouthwatering Vanilla Cake

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 all-purpose flour
1 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
OPTIONAL:
Frosting (room temperature)
HOW TO MAKE:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Grease and flour pan
In medium bowl, cream sugar and butter
Add egg
Beat
Add egg
Beat
Add vanilla extract
Beat
Add baking powder and all-purpose flour
Mix
Add milk
Stir until batter smoothens
Pour into prepared pan
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes (cake is ready if you lightly push on it, and it still springs back up)
Allow to cool

1. Using spatula, evenly spread frosting on cake's top and sides
